No Internet Kubuntu 17.10 and TP-Link AC1300

I’m new to Linux - I barely know what the Terminal is and am slowly learning. I have paid three different people to set up internet on this new Kubutu 17.10 system... with no success. Internet connected wireless for five hours through Archer T4U (AC1300). Then shut off for no reason.
Am I too dumb to use Kubutu? My small business is at a standstill and my daughter can’t do her homework. Do I pay for Windows 10 (AGAIN)?
