Mouse locking up / freezing on Ubuntu 17.10

I've been using Ubuntu on my Dell XPS 13 for year or so now without issue, but with 17.10, the mouse keeps on locking up for a second or so before jumping to where it should be.
Does anyone know of the course of this? I've seen some reports that it's Wayland vs XOrg but changing my session hasn't helped.
