I want to ping between dummy interfaces which I created but I am unable to do that?

IPTABLES
I have made two dummy interfaces:
achoudh5_dummy0 and achoudh5_dummy1 with ip address 1.1.1.1/24 and 2.2.2.2/24 respectively.
I am able to ping them individually from the vm but I want to ping between these two newly created dummy vm's. I entered them into the iptables but still I am unable to ping .
