I've recently installed Lubuntu 16.04 on a Dell Inspiron 15-3521. The hardware functionality from the start is great including WLAN, sound, even default function key mapping, however there is one exception to this.
The system doesn't seem to be suspending properly when I shut the lid of the laptop. The screen turns off almost immediately and I am prompted for my password upon re-opening, but I can hear that the fans and hard drive do not stop. Additionally, the battery does not last very long to begin with (maybe an hour or two), but after shutting the lid and putting the computer in my bag with a full charge, I take it out after a few hours to find that the battery is completely drained.
Anyone have any advice or experience on this topic?
