My Xubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus is acting weird. It boots up normally, but after I type my password, it just shows the desktop wallpaper, and nothing else. Unable to provide a screenshot. Can you help me?

  • Can you do an ALT-F3 and login on console? If so, you might then want to check journalctl -b0 or dmesg for error messages.
