Intel SPI BIOS bug fix for Ubuntu Studio 17.10?

I can see that most Ubuntu 17.10 flavours were updated in January to version 17.10.1 with a fix for the BIOS bug in the Intel SPI driver included in kernel 4.13, but for Ubuntu Studio. This one remains at version 17,10, dated 2017.10.17, in the download links at Ubuntu site.
My question is: has Ubuntu Studio 17.10 been free from the bug all the time? Or is it still waiting for a fix, and Ubuntu Studio 17.10 is therefore not safe to install?
