I installed Xubuntu 17.10 on a netbook, everything but the audio works.
There is no audio icon on the toolbar.
When I try to open the volume control from the settings, it just gives me "Establishing connection to PulseAudio. Please wait..."
I've tried already everything that I could find online, from completely purging pulseaudio, to adding commands at start.
Nothing helped so far.

Any idea? Do you need some kind of report?
I am no linux expert, just an amateur.

Thank you.
