I recently switched to using i3 on a macbook pro running ubuntu 16.04 and a friend sent me their config file for i3blocks. A dependency is font-awesome, but for the life of me I can't get the right characters to appear. font-awesome appears in /usr/share/fonts/truetype
and I've tried things that I found online such as ensuring encoding is right. I'm at a loss, and if anyone can give me tips that would be great! I've attached a photo of my task bar.
