I am using Ubuntu 14.04, and I cannot get internet access from ethernet or wifi.
When I did lspci -v
it shows me that my ehernet controller is the following:
Intel Corporation 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection (rev 04)
subsystem: Intel corporation Device 0000
Kernel driver in use: e1000e
also, when I did iwconfig
, it shows the following:
eth0 no wireless extensions
bro no wireless extensions
lo no wireless extensions
I just want to get the ethernet to work, does anyone have any suggestions? I googled a lot, but nothing helped.
