I have updated my Ubuntu from 16.04 to 17.10 and after it was updated, at the login page when I want to enter my password I get a black screen.

login screen

boot messages on black screen

I tried Ctrl+Alt+F6 and running startx, but it hasn't solved and when I do less /var/log/Xorg.0.log I get something like this about my VGA. What can I do?

Xorg log

  • You'll probably want to look at My computer boots to a black screen, what options do I have to fix it?, specifically this answer. Edit: Sorry, I got "login" and "boot" confused, but maybe the link is still relevant, I don't know.
