This question has been asked before and already has an answer. If those answers do not fully address your question, please ask a new question.

  • I can't see why not; your only issue will be disk space, as even 50% each doesn't leave that much space for either.

Possible duplicate of How do I install Ubuntu? and How do I find out which version and derivative of Ubuntu is right for my hardware in terms of minimal system requirements? The second link is very important because there isn't an 32-bit .iso image for Ubuntu 18.04 and most Windows XP computers have 32-bit processors, so you need to install a *buntu edition that provides a 32-bit .iso image.

@guiverc There's another issue besides disk space. Ubuntu 18.04 does not provide a downloadable 32-bit .iso image file.

Please note that Windows XP is 17 years old and it got out of support 4 years ago. Ditch it completely and just use Linux.

@MAHESHJS Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer is a message from Windows XP. To remove it read this.
