Slow WLAN on 18.04

recently I installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my Surface Book. Unfortunately I only have a very slow Wlan connection (~30kb/s - ~200kb/s download). Setting a fixed channel on my router below 5GHz gives me a slightly better download rate (300kb/s - 800kb/s). Back on my Win 10 Image I get download rates around 50Mbit/s. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
