I am am using VPNC to connect to my university VPN on my Ubuntu PC.
When I start it in the command line I get

VPNC started in background (pid: xxxxx)...

What's interesting now: I do not have Internet access on Firefox, Chromium works though. However, in Chromium I can browse every site BUT university sites.

I am not very experienced when it comes to computer networks. Your help is appreciated.
