Ubuntu 17.10 after installing booting error

my laptop (Dell vostro 15 - intel core i3 - AMD 2gb Graphics) last week i upgrade my ubuntu 16.04 32bit to 17.10. but after installing alongside Windows 8 when i restart the system its not booting. Then i select the key GNU GRUB shortcut key 'e' for screen editing and edit ro quite splash to nomodeset quite splash. Then booted up the Ubuntu 17.10 after boot the Ubuntu i did repair the boot(Boot-Repair). i have got message its done but when i reboot its not working same like before. black screen......please give me some instruction to solve the problem.
